Louisville has an early start as they are int eh bottom of the first already. Reynolds is on the mound for Louisville. He gave a run in the first and the Bats trail 1-0. Hamilton with the leadoff walk and his 49th stolen base. Oh I just noticed Zach Stewart is on the mound against the Bats. Cue the required ZS jokes.

Bases are loaded for Fellhauer after a single to center by Perez and a walk to Hessman loaded the bases. I am shocked that a two out hit to center didn't score Hamilton but I don't know why.

"In play, run(s)"- I love seeing that when the good guys are up.
And Gameday has crashed.

Gameday is back. Bats scored 4 and apparently Hamilton did score on the Perez single. Fellhauer, Phipps and Ashley also singled home runs.

Reynolds is struggling today. He has given up 3 in the 5th though Louisville still leads 6-5. Hamilton hit his 5th homer of the season in the 2nd.

Reynolds through 7 now. Still 6-5 with Bats up.

Charlotte tied it in the 8th against Christiani, but Hamilton put the Bats back up again in the bottom of the inning on a one-out single that scored Nevin Ashley, who had doubled. Arredondo relieved in the 9th with the leadoff man aboard and picked up the save.

i noticed Billy Hamilton's K rate has surged quite a bit in June.

Ryan Dennick was rolling along with a 1-0 lead (Travis Mattair's HR) after five, at which point he and Shaun Ellis combined to cough up eight runs in two innings. Pensacola trails 8-3 in the ninth.

Phillip Ervin's 2-run home run (#2) gave Billings a 3-2 lead in the sixth. It's now 3-3 in the eighth.

The AZL Reds scored 5 in the third, in part because Cory Thompson (2-2, .455) appears to be a stud. On the other hand, Jeremy Kivel gave up 3 in the bottom of the inning, and it's 5-4.

Thompson is crushing it. If this continues he could be in Billings by the end of July. Would be great to have a nice young SS prospect in the system.

Meanwhile Ervin should be in Dayton by the All-Star game.
