Louisville is playing host to Indianapolis.

Yohan Pino started and gave up a couple of runs in the top of the first. Louisville is batting in the home half of the first. They have scored on a walk to Fellhauer, a single by Henry Rodriguez and a gidp. Felix Perez has singled and is at first with two out.

Note: Billy Hamilton and Greg Reynolds were both elected to the International League AAA ASG. Congrats!

Pensacola is butting heads with the Jacksonville Suns. No score after one.

Josh Smith is on the mound for the Blue 'Hoos. Jake Marisnick singled to lead things off for the Suns but was gunned down by Yorman Rodriguez trying to stretch it into a double.

Ryan LaMarre singles, steals second and scores on a base knock by Devin Lohman. Pensacola leads 1-zip.
Jacksonville tied it up in the bottom of the third. Now the Blue Fish have regained the lead on Marquez Smith's third roundtripper since being called up from Bakersfield.
A two-out error has proved costly for the Suns. Josh Smith reached and came around to score on singles by Wimberly and Rodriguez. A balk has brought home a second run in the inning. Pensacola leads now 4-1.

Dayton is down in Bowling Green. Jackson Stephens is on the bump. This is game one of a DH. Yesterday's game seemed to be sunshined out.

Dayton grabbed a 1-0 lead when Joe Hudson doubled and came around to score. Stephens gave up a pair of runs in the fourth. But now has been lifted for Wandy Peralta. Dragons trail 2-1 after four.

Stephens line: 3.2IP 4H 2R 2ER 2BB 4K 1HBP.

Wandy Peralta went 2.1 scoreless innings but the sticks never got going. Dayton drops the first of two by the score of 2-1.
Singles by Rahier and Diaz. Doubles by Hudson and Pigott. And that was it.

DSL Reds lead the DSL Padres 1-0 early on the second home run of the season off of the bat of Derik Capatillo.

If you were wondering why Junior Arias was not in the Dayton lineup it is because he is pitching tonight down in the Dominican Republic. Three shutout innings so far. He DOES have a lot of tools. Actually, the Dragons' Arias is on his way to Bakersfield. Congrats on the promotion.
The DSL Reds post a four-spot in bottom of the third. Derik Capatillo walked and scored. Miguel Mendez has two hits to push his average up to .387. Raynar Guerrero had the big hit, a two-run double. He is not hitting .351.

DSL Rojos are pounding into submission by the DSL Pirates by a 9-2 margin.

Nothing of note as far as pitching goes as everyone who took the mound for Los Rojos was touched up.
Francis Azcona went 3-5 and is hitting .366.
Luis Hernandez went 2-4 and drew a walk.
Jose Monegro went 2-4 as well.

Jose Ortiz showing the early ability to rake - how's his defense behind the plate?

Also, could Arias to Bakersfield foreshadow Ervin to Dayton?

This Aquino kid has been showing up in these threads fairly regularly. Anybody know anything about him?

Juan Silva having a coming out party this year as well.

We had an 18 year old go 3 for 4 last night at Bakersfield: Alberti Chavez, 2b. What do we know about him?

We know that the Reds must really like him. He is only the third player the Reds have started in the US as a 16 or 17 year old over the last 10 years (international players only, Shedric Long, Theo Bowe and Gabriel Rosa were 17 when drafted). Ronald Torreyes made his way up at 17 as well, but he began that year in the Venezuelan Summer League.
