Point of Personal Privilege

Many for posting a personal new thread, but it's a milestone. I'm grieving because I won't be able to attend either the Pirate series in Pittsburgh (where the in-laws live) or at home. It was my plan, but breaking my ankle on Aug. 22nd ruined that. The tickets were to easy to get rid of--my loss. Maybe it's a good omen. I'm 2-8 in my last five trips. We don't need that.

Of course we need to relate your misfortune to our fav team....

You broke your ankle exactly 40 years and 1 month from the day Davey Concepcion broke his ankle (7-22-1973). Davey was scheduled to start his first All-Star Game two days after that ankle break. It cost him that first ASG start and the rest of the 1973 season.
