Mr. Adleman you have an opportunity.
Gives up a hard hit lead off double

Socrates Brito might be what the Reds hoped they had with Billy Hamilton

Two long doubles (one ground rule to the pitcher ) to lead off the 2nd. 3-0 D-Backs

Third straight hit, a single, plates a 4th run

Four straight hits - runners on the corners with no out

Adleman doesn't get out of the 2nd.

This is the fodder game apparently. No one can pitch and no one can hit. It's spring training they say. It's still brutal to watch. Sorry.

Maybe this is the dead arm period..and possibly the dead bat period as well.

Mattheus' arm has apparently been dead for two years. I will never understand why they keep trotting him out there to get hit and hit.

Caleb Cotham had a nice night. 2 scoreless innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 4 strikeouts. Dixon's HR was impressive, he has some notable flaws but his power can play.

Adleman is minor league filler, doesn't really matter that he got dismantled.

Agree about Adleman, but if Moscot's injury drags on, Adleman may start the season in the rotation along with Melville. The team is going to be going to the pen early and often IMO.

Adelman probably had an outside chance for that spot before tonight, but I think he can just about kiss that goodbye.

The Reds have assigned a million and one guys to camp yet still no Daniel Wright. I think he deserves to compete for some starts.

If Moscot has to miss extended time, this could be headed to the highly unusual situation where a guy could start a big league game the first week of the season who wasn't in big league camp, even as a non-roster. The problem is they have to get someone stretched out and they are running out of options. I do not think Reed or Stephenson are options due to the service time issue. That leaves Melville for Lorenzen's spot. If Moscot is a question, they might call Josh Smith over from the Minor League side and try to get him stretched out. Sampson would have been an option, but he has been hurt too. They might consider trying to stretch out Villarreal, but I think they have committed him to the bullpen picture.

Who was the guy, without a number? Just seen a gif showing him.

Announcers said Cave. Not sure how much they know.

It looked like Cave... Just thought odd he was without a number. (a message maybe?)

People keep saying Mattheus is "league average", but I'm not sure what league they're referring to.
