Although the non-waiver trading deadline passed Thursday, players can be traded if they clear waivers. Beginning this morning, practically every team went about the usual process of waiving practically every player on their respective rosters (only seven players can be waived at a time), a process that is done to see which players other clubs are interested in. Most players are pulled back when a claim is put in, but those players then can't be traded for the rest of the season. Any player who clears waivers (three full business days without a claim) can be traded anytime thereafter.
