Rose, who turns 64 April 14...
Gosh, that made me feel a bit sad. Can Pete Rose really be 64 years old? :(

"Pete Rose in Cincinnati is an absolute god," Riggsbee says.
I don't mean to start a war against all the Pete Rose fans, but I'm wondering if this statement still holds true after the admission and the book. Pete Rose lost a lot of points with me personally after admitting what he had done. I still think he was a hell of a ballplayer, but I certainly don't think he's an "absolute god".

I still think they should use the beano lady for the commercials. Anyone else find that comical?

That has to count for something in the name-recognition department.
I was surprised by the revelation in that article that he comes to the city 2x/month. Between those trips and having homes on both coasts, that's some serious frequent-flyer miles.
