Not Parker or any Griffey. Griffey Sr. was a 10 HR guy.

Dunn and Bench for sure. Kluzewski too. I thought Perez has a high of 40 in 1970. I don't think Robinson ever hit 45. Foster hit 50, so he's there.

They've worked counts and made Wells throw 104 pitches through five. They just haven't gotten the longball and when this team doesn't hit the longball it struggles to score runs. The upside is they'll see plenty of middle relievers today.

that's why it is so stupid to bat Dunn 5th with DJ behind him. They will pitch around him anywhere in the lineup but the idea is to have somebody behind him to take advantage of the situation. He should be hitting 3rd and pena 4th and Casey 5th

Down 2 with 1 out in the 6th inning is not the time to give away outs IMO. That's small ball, this isn't a small ball situation and the guys on base aren't exactly Eric Davis and Gary Redus.

Casey does have a line drive double today and Griffey was hitting the ball just as hard as Randa was before the game started. Plus guys do need days off some times.

you don't double switch when the pinch hitter makes the last out in an inning. If you keep Kearns in, then you have the pitcher's spot coming up two, four or five batters later.

It doesn't change the fact that weakly slapping double-play balls around the infield is basically the biggest rally killer in baseball.

If, at this point in the season, Casey's bat is going to erase the guys getting on in front of him, there is ZERO REASON he should be batting in front of the RBI-men.

I'd drop him behind Dunn and Pena at the very least until he gets his bat in order.

He is costing the Reds runs by batting 3rd. Plain and simple.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but he needs to be dropped in the lineup. Putting Griffey, who can't move well, in front of Casey, who can't move, is just not a good recipe for runs

I might get in trouble for saying this, and I will say I have absolutely no proof. On the other hand, I don't feel that bad, because frankly it's the players union and the players themselves who created a situation where we have to question everything. I am only speculating here; I don't think I'm right; I have no proof. I also, though, have no proof on this issue from any other player. I also realize that Casey is just in a slump and will likely pull it together - but jeez oh man he's looked bad and he looked bad when I saw him in spring training.

With that discalimer out of the way, acting only from a desire to promote discussion and emphasizing again that I am NOT saying I have any evidence that this is true:
