Hey, when you're trying to bust out of a slump, you don't question where the dingers are coming from.

Every strikeout Wily makes is one AB closer to a dinger...kinda like a salesman has to go through x number of rejections before hitting the YES!

RedlegJake

"Carp wanted no part of Dunner!"

Lucky here in Beantown... ESPN switched to the Reds-Cards game since the Philly game got rained out...

Junior got lucky... the ball hit the yellow line at the top of the fence. It wasn't a HR.

Aurelia hits a sac fly on purpose :)

And LaRue with a 2 RBI double!!! Nice slide by Randa.

Aronchis
05-02-2005, 09:01 PM
I doubt that will happen. Carpenter is a very good and still underrated pitcher. Carpenter was the Cardinal's Ace last year, and will likely compete with Mulder for that title in 2005. He's very good at keeping his composure and getting out of jams as well.

No, you have to give the Cards some credit here. They always do this, especially against us. They aren't the NL champs for no reason. You gotta find a way to win these games. And as far as using a smiley in this situation, sometimes you've just got to laugh. Sometimes you just can't take these GAMES so seriously. Sure, the Reds choked, but all I'm saying is that you've got to give the other team a lot of credit as well. If it's becoming a trend, well, you've gotta give the devil his due. If anybody says that it's ALL on the Reds, then you don't know baseball.
