Crap! Padres got the lead.

You didn't expect it? It isn't a ball game without a Reds disappointment. This season is so sad sack that it's not even laughable anymore.

Trevor Hoffman -- the closer the Reds gave up on.

Danny Graves -- the closer we have.

Did the entire offense go on vacation after the 2nd inning? Started off so, so promising.

That vacation has lasted most of the year.

What a surprise...Reds go down 1-2-3

This team is a complete disgrace.

Kearns looks noticeably pissed in that dugout.

DanO and Dave make a great pair

The difference is talent in the BP is sickening. Other than Hoffman they are all free agent and waiver claims.

Probably pressing in his limited at bats.

Kearns looks noticeably pissed in that dugout.

He should be pissed at himself for taking strike 3 in the 10th and grounding out in the 13th, not exactly making a case for more playing time.

As Kearns said...it's hard for someone used to playing all of the time to come into games as a PH constantly.

CincyRedsFan30,was that the Kearns interview with an announcer before the game started?? If so did you think that he got kinda chocked up at the end of the interview then he looked off.Thats when the announcer said keep your head up son.Did you see that??

No, I didn't see/hear that one. I'm just referring to Kearns' newspaper quotes from the past day or two.

It sounds like the interview was just as bad though. I really feel for him, because he showed such promise just a few short years ago.

Yeah he seemed real down hearted yet tried to stay positive..He said he is a everyday player and its hard sitting over there on the bench every game.

I know what Kearns is going through. I started every game my junior year in high school and led my team in every offensive category. My senior year we got a new coach and I found myself being benched. It's a tough thing to deal with. After a while you start to doubt your own ability and you can get real shook up emotionally.
