I heard a song on Sirius on Dish Network by a band called Ween. The song was "Piss Up a Rope". I loved it. Anyone know anything about this band? Or have any recommendations?

I am not a fan or anything, but...

Two guys from the east coast are "the brains" behind Ween. They call themselves Dean & Gene Ween. They claim to be of the punk genre. Some of their songs from the past are kind of silly and funny.

If They Might Be Giants traded in their accordion for a synthesizer and a set of balls, they would be Ween.

Push th' little daisies and make them come up...

I have that album in MP3 (it's their "country Album)

Ween can do the best covers in the land.. hands down.. Hot for teacher, riders on teh storm, stella blue, band on the run... an amazing band when they don't play novelty songs only.

BTW their 2nd album (I'm dating myself) The Pod is a seminal piece in hoem recording studio history.

If you are intersted in that mp3 let me know and I'll post it on my site so you can downlaod it.

The impressive soundtrack from the movie "Beautiful Girls" has an excellent Ween song on it: "I'll Miss You."

Great movie with an equally great soundtrack. Also includes rare gems by The Afghan Wigs, Howlin' Maggie, Pete Droge, Chris Isaak...and even some classics by Kiss, Billy Paul, Neil Diamond, The Spinners and King Floyd.
