How about thinking a team ERA under 4.5 would be nice right about now while you are at it?

I'm sorry...all requests must be submitted in triplicate and properly notarized.

This looks like a typical Reds game.

Except the Giants are playing the part of the Reds.

Is it possible that there are two of us???

2 things:

1. Merker is horrible at pitching form the stretch, so he should NEVER be brought in with runners on.

2. Didn't he just pitch yesterday?

OK, I guess F.Alou only has lefty hitters remaining on the bench (except for his backup catcher).

Do the Giants have only four position players on their bench (i.e., a 13-man pitching staff)?

If the Giants had never moved to San Fran, would the Continental league ever have gotten off the ground, and if not..would baseball have expanded the way it did.

I consider this and more during commercials for grand victoria :D

How did we pick up Lopez?

A four-team trade. The Reds gave up Elmer Dessens, who went to Arizona. Lopez came to Cincinnati from Toronto. Oakland was also involved in the deal.

The Giants move predates the CL, Stoneham was convinced to move by O'Mally in 56. The CL, was more of a 1959 era and has more to do with the south and south west than the west coast. However in the 50's the PCL lobbied an idea to become a 3rd ML. Baseball poo-pooed the idea because they wanted the area themselves.

Traded by Cincinnati Reds with cash to Arizona Diamondbacks as part of 4-team trade
in which Arizona Diamondbacks sent Erubiel Durazo to Oakland Athletics; Toronto Blue
Jays sent Felipe Lopez to Cincinnati Reds(December 16, 2002) ; and Oakland Athletics
sent Jason Arnold to Toronto Blue Jays(December 16, 2002).

Did anyone else become physically drained by watching Casey run around the bases. I think I need oxygen.
