I just saw on espn.com a list of the best fight songs in which Michigan was no. 1 followed by Notre Dame. So I thought I would ask everyone what their favorite fight song was.

I always liked Michigan's, but I just heard Georgia Techs, and I would have to say I like it alot, it talks about engineers, drinking, and sons cussing out rivals. What's not to like there (this comes from an engineer, so I am biased). My hearts with Purdue's, but I just can't honestly say it is up their with the others.

There is a website http://fightmusic.com/, but I think it is down because of the espn article. None of there links worked for me.

Two words: Roll Wave

One of the most unique fight songs in Division I.

The link is working now I think. Also I know it isn't there fight song, but they do play it after touchdowns I think, but Iowa has to get a vote with In Heaven There Is No Beer.

I like Yale's. It was written by Yale drop-out Cole Porter. "Bulldog, bulldog, bulldog..fight Eli...Yale."...or something like that.

I the more I hear I like GT. Here are the words

The Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech
Iím a Rambliní Wreck From Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.
A helluva helluva helluva helluva helluvan engineer.
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear, Iím a Rambliní Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.
Oh, If I had a daughter, sir, Iíd dress her in White and Gold.
And put her on the campus to cheer the brave and bold.
And if I had a son, sir, Iíll tell you what heíd do, He would yell "TO HELL WITH GEORGIA" like his daddy used to do.
I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds, A college bell to put it in, and a clapper to stir it round.
Iíd drink to all the good fellows who come from far and near, Iím a ramblin, gambliní hell of an engineer, Hey!

FWIW, when I lived in Atlanta I used to like it when GT beat UGA. Joe Hamilton was one of the best college QB's I ever watched.

I also went to the Peach Bowl the year that Hines Ward had to play emergency QB and threw for over 400 yards. That dude is one great football player.

No contest, it's Rocky Top. I know I will get neg points with this as I am sure I am the only Tennessee fan on this board, but whatever, GO VOLS.

Another one missing would have to be On Wisconson. Not my favorite, but it is a well known one.

When I was a kid, yes they had fight songs back then, living in Ohio I had a 78rpm record, one side was "On Wisconson" flip side was "Cheer cheer for Ole Notre Dame" Loved them both and played them a lot even though I didn't know crap about football. So what else is new, still don't know much about football but love it anyways.

At Grant Jr. High in Portsmouth our fight song was

"Bacon, Bacon
Greasy, Greasy
We can beat your team
Easy, Easy"

ofcourse we beat no one in any sport.

Hail to the Victors is definitely #1, when I was a kid I was a big fan of Oklahoma's wishbone offense and used to love to hear Boomer Sooner play on TV after each of their 7 TD's per game

I like Rocky Top, too, Johnny, but my favorite would have to be the Marshall University fight song, "Sons of Marshall."

Of course I think OSU's "Fight the Team" and "Buckeye Battle Cry" are awesome fight songs, and much better than that ear-diarrhea that comes out of Ann Arbor. And the University of Dayton fight song is one of the best and always puts me in a great mood.

Looking at some other schools, I think Rocky Top is unparalleled in college sports. Ol' Miss has a great fight song as well. ND is pretty good. And Michigan State is one fight song that when I hear it that I can't stop humming it for a week.
