I hate Indian's- they are simply printed on a piece of plastic. Many have no space between the county numbers and letters and the plate number, rendering hard for the cops to read.

The New York I saw is different, it has NY City on the right, and Niagra Falls on the left. Its in Kronos link.

Lets review :D

There seems to be a lack of imagination coming out of the north east, Tenn Georgia and Florida seem to like the same style...I sense a red white and blue theme being used quite a bit.

I agree on Wyoming, what's funny is they don't need to put many numbers on it due to lack of people

The new New York tag is kind of spiffy

I used to get Honeycomb cereal when they included a mini-license plate back in the day! Loved to collect them.

Two comments.

First, these people need to update their tag pictures. Here are some of the most popular tags in VA. These cost $10.00 more per year than the standard tag, which looks like the 1993 Series pic in post #17. In fact, the tag number freaked me out so bad, I went outside to check my tag number. Mines ZXT-****. Whew! :) I'm sure most states, if not all, have the specialty tags as well. VA has about 180 of those, from the NRA, all the colleges, to homeschooling. Geez, the DMV has a book two inches think to choose from.

The second comment, the one that will get me banned for life is this. North Carolina is "First In Flight", so screw you Ohio.

My guess would be that most states have the special interest tags. Almost impossible to show them all. I thought it was a really cool website though.

North Carolina had a hill and some wind.

Absolutely nothing cooler than having an old car with the California black plates.

A lot of the shops geared toward foreign tourists in SF have old license plates. They're popular with Japanese tourists I'm told.

In Kentucky, one can choose to travel to Monkey's Eyebrow, Eighty-Eight, Paintsville, Rooster Run, Hell fer Certain, and, my personal favorite, Big Bone Lick.

None of them compare, however, to Bell County's own, Greasy Creek.

Showing my age here...

I liked it when they issued new plates every year. The big deal was what 2 colors they were going to be for that year. People would nail the plates to garage walls. I was in a store recently that used to be a garage and had plates on the wall back to the 30's.

I think they discontinued that policy back sometime in the 70's (in Ohio that is).

Does Ohio has the Reds-theme vanity plates yet? They had all the Cleveland teams but somehow forgot Cinci teams.

I know they were going to add one this year or next, I saw a thread about it over on ORG a few months back
