Has anyone else here seen this movie? My 14 year old son wanted to go to the movies yesterday and I let him pick. He chose "Dark Water," because some friends told him it was scary.
My review is as follows:
1. Jennifer Connelly is a good actress and does a fine job with the material she's given in this film.
2. Jennifer Connelly is also easy on the eyes.
3. In the 100 or so years movies have been made, surely someone, sometime made a movie which was worse than "Dark Water" and which was a bigger waste of two hours-but I can't think of one at the moment. This is the absolute worst movie I've seen in a theater in years.

Thanks for the warning, I almost made the mistake of going to see this last night.

Hey, RB, I just checked and Roger Ebert gave this one 3 stars out of 4. In this case, I am going with YOUR review. I feel safer. ;)

What did your son think of the movie?

Yeah, my wife and I flushed $20.00 on that piece of crap. We stayed an hour and left, and we never leave movies. It was so bad there wasn't even anything to make fun of.

He didn't say much. When I asked him what he thought, he just muttered something about it being "strange" and didn't say anymore about it-he obviously didn't want to admit he picked a lousy movie. He did go on for some time about wanting to see a movie about dirtbikes called "Super Cross" or something like that which comes out next month. He has a motorcycle.
