Can Harrang still get the win?

Yes. Aaron was the pitcher of record when the Reds took the lead.

Can Harrang still get the win?

Yes, Harang is in line for the win. LaRue hit his home run before Standridge relieved.

Nothing would please me more than to take 6 straight against the Cubbies, except for maybe winning out. Is this the same team that couldn't buy a win on the road earlier in the season?

Weathers in to pitch. Freel stays in game at left field.

Double switch: Freel staying in the game to play LF; Weathers in to pitch, batting fourth.

Yep. I like the guy----just not as a Cub. When he was healthy he was far better than Jeter, IMO.

Can you explain to an uninformed fan what happened between the two?

Dempster was playing fast and loose with getting annhilated, as usual. Then Felipe made a dumb play in the field. Can't remember the specifics, but it was a mental mistake of some sort. Dempster then let the floodgates open. I mean he lost what little he had and got starched.

Then he gets in Felipe's grill in the dugout and starts screaming at the kid about being a professional. It's still one of the jerkiest moments in baseball history.

Wow. The Cubs just look awful right now. But, when your game is driven almost completely by getting baseballs to drop where player's ain't, that'll happen.

Oh well.

and oh by the way...he's au natural

I get the feeling that with his resurgence and in light of the steroid scandal, KGJ is on the cusp on receiving major, major accolades from fans and sportswriters alike for a lifetime of playing the game right. What an accomplishment getting to 600 would be in everyone's eyes.
