Pena, as someone who swings at bad pitches, is a very poor choice to bat ahead of Harang.

So is Griffey officially done for the year.......i have not heard anything that he is done for sure. He is done for the year? Thats news to Griffey... As he nurses a ripped tendon.

Is it me or are they just trying to avoid the "Griffey cant last a whole season" talk?

CTA513 your PBP is impeccable! Thanks!

I just watched the first couple of innings but I want comment on the Cubs announcers at the beginning of the game. They came on with some outlandish scenario that if the Cubs went 15-4 and everyone ahead them were to play under .500 then the Cubs would get the wild card. Yea,right! Keep Dreaming! I couldn't believe they still think they are in the wild card chase.

RE: Home Runs

Team record (still) is 221 set in 1956. It was a long time NL record at one point. (tied with the 1947 New York Giants)

The Reds now have 4 seasons with 200+ HR - 221 in 1956, 209 in 1999, 200 in 2000, and 200 (and counting) in 2005.
