Well Cincinnati sports fans, 2006 is shaping up to be a very interesting year. It looks to be year of change, hopefully good.

The Bengals will be coming off their first winning season and playoff birth since 1990. For the first time in awhile we’ll see how this organization handles success, if any of the coaches leave for other jobs, and how Marvin further improves the team for the 06’ season.

The Reds have the potential to be very exciting. When the new ownership is finally approved we could see sweeping changes in the front office (please!) and perhaps the beginning stages of putting this franchise back on the winning path again. Baseball fans in Cincy are hungry for a winner, lets hope they deliever.

After 16 years of NCAA tournament invitations and winning under Bob Huggins UC will have a new head coach by April 2006. This hire will be critical to the future of UC basketball and determine if the program fades into oblivion, as well as the job status of one Nancy Zimpher. The wounds of 2005 can be healed with the right hire, or cemented forever with the wrong hire.

2006 is going to be interesting time for Cincinnati sports fans, enjoy it folks!

What about Xavier, the Kings, the Stuff, and the Ducks (or whatever team replaces them)? And the indoor football team whose name eludes me?

Your prognosis please.

I think the Cincinnati Marshall have a excellent shot at their division title if they can make payroll that is.
