I think he might be worth a waiver claim. He was a former first round pick by the Detroit Tigers in the 2001 draft. I found information on him from Mlb.com 2001 draft profile and the Padres website.

He could be great pickup.

This guy has put up some nice numbers. Makes ya wonder what's wrong. If he's healthy the Reds should grab him.

Even if he's not healthy (depending on the actual extent of the injury) they should grab him.

It's a possible low risk high reward idea.

There might be something up with Baugh, as the Padres just traded for him back in December (albeit not for anyone I've ever heard of). But if he's healthy, we'll have worse in our camp.

Unfortunately, that pre-draft scouting report didn't mention anything about being whipped like a cheap claimer at Rice, and the subsequent and all too predictable arm injury that wiped out his 2002. Glad to see he's been able to work his way back.

He's from Texas, so you know O'Brien would have been all over that.

Per Rotoworld.com

Kenny Baugh cleared waivers on Friday and will remain with the Padres as a non-roster player.
Baugh, who was removed from the 40-man roster on Wednesday, will have a chance to compete for a spot in middle relief this spring. Feb. 18 - 2:53 am et
