Today's Cincinnati Post has a column by Lonnie Wheeler on Wayne Krivsky and his background as a scout. This is what gives me hope for the Reds in the long run.

It's hard for me to believe that we had a chance to bring into camp guys like (Scott) Hatteberg and (Quinton) McCracken and (Tuffy) Rhodes," remarked Narron. "That they were available so late in the process."

My grandma, long gone, had an old saying about some folks - "They'd kick if their legs were cut off". I suspect that's true regarding some folks feelings about anything that comes out of Jerry Narron's mouth.

Of course, Wheeler aptly notes that Krivsky's moves have been limited by the lateness of his hire. Blame MLB for that for dragging their feet on the ownership change, IMHO.
