I would have to say that my favorite non-Red is Sean Casey. (He was my favorite player when he was here, though I fully agreed with the decision to trade him--it had to be done to allow the team to grow. In my opinion, he was no longer a good fit for the offense.)

As a kid, my three favorite non-Reds players were:
1. Royals 3B George Brett
2. Orioles 1B Eddie Murray
3. Phillies 3B Mike Schmidt

Other favorite non-Reds were:
Pirates 1B Willie Stargell
Expos CF Andre Dawson
Braves CF Dale Murphy
Brewers 1B Cecil Cooper
Brewers C Ted Simmons
Brewers SS Robin Yount
Tigers RF Kirk Gibson
Tigers SS Alan Trammell
Astros 2B Bill Doran (before he became a Red)

Guys with nasty breaking pitches - especially dominant relievers

Scot Shields
Mariano Rivera
Traver Hoffman
Brandon Webb

Sidearmers, submariners and Knuckleballers
Chad Bradford
Byung Kim
Tim Wakefield

Fundamentally sound Catchers
Mike Matheny - the best by a long shot
Any of the Molina clan

I was privledged to watch Randy Johnson about 12-15 times the last few years. Always felt like something special could happen anytime that guy was on the mound. And it often did.

Growing up I loved George Brett & Tony Gwynn. Gwynn may be my all time favorite non-Red

5 off the top of my head

Suzuki -- completely unique
Jose Guillen -- I like the way he attacks the ball -- and that arm in RF ain't bad either
Derek Lee -- a monster on O and D
Greg Maddux -- diminishing, but still fun to watch him outsmart hitters
Manny Ramirez -- best RH hitter in the game, in my book
