Wow Ed! I am simply humbled and deeply appreciative of the mention in your blog of my family's recent plight. But it is the absolute truth though - this forum is much more then just a "sports" forum. And one does not really, really realize that until something "outside" of sports happens to one of those members. It really does put things in a different perspective IMO.

My family, which has received alot of aid and assistance during this trying time, from family, neighbors, co-workers, and valued friends (such as on this forum), has made our handling of this ordeal alot easier. It's like it has become their trial/burden too.

I will never be able to thank the friends on here enough for all that they have done.

So I'm a "senior" member on here huh? I still have my original teeth. :lol:

Ed, that was a great read. Truly, your writing is superb. This is better than most newspaper columnists.
