Who knew? :dunno:

I knew they had a good baseball program, but I figured they must be overrated in basketball to have a higher seed than Seton Hall.

Whoops...

That's where the guys like me that don't watch more than 2-3 games of college basketball all year take a hit in the brackets.

Yeah, the whole MVC was solid this year - Creighton was excellent, WS, etc. They were terrific out of the conference early this year then every one forgot about them because the losses piled up cause they were beating each other.

But the MVC was/is solid.

They're screwing up my system of never betting on a conference that has a specific state or more than 2 directions in their title.

Yeah, the arena out in San Diego was just evacuated. The Marquette-Alabama game tips off in about an hour.

It's probably nothing, but after the FBI warning last week the NCAA isn't going to take any chances at all.

According to one of the ESPN reporters the games in San Diego are going to be delayed at least 2 hours. I just saw a live shot from there and so far everyone is still waiting outside the arena.

I wouldn't be shocked if X wins this game. I've seen Gonzaga play about 10 games this season and they are one of the most over rated teams in college basketball. They play in a weak mid-major league, if they played in the Big East/SEC/Big 12/etc they'd win maybe 4 games in conference play.

The only team even more over rated than Gonzaga is George Washington.

I would not be surprised either. The thing about Gonzaga is they never really dominate their opponents this year. Over the past month or 2 they play really close games against opponents they should have no trouble with. They basically keep squeaking by with very close wins and you get the feeling they could be knocked out of this tournament at any time.

Yeah, it sure would have helped to know McNamara was going to get hurt before filling out my bracket. It's that kind of stuff that you can't predict. In basketball where it's played with only 5 guys, injuries are huge. If he'd have gotten hurt like that vs UC, Syracuse wouldn't even be in the tournament today, much less a #5 seed

SD St was careless with the basketball and blew it. I picked Indiana 'cause I figured they'd play for Mike Davis in this tournament, but I was impressed with SD ST; just too many dumb turnovers on their part.

It was not a good day for the Big East. Early returns show the SEC may have been underrated.

I went 13-3 which is my goal every year. I consider my over/under to be 11 the first night. The key is not to lose too many games in which you project them past the 2nd rd. I didn't lose any of those but I almost lost a Final Four team (BC). It's a game of inches all right.
