Japan with a 5-run 7th, add another before rain delay... (San Diego?)
Japan 6 - Korea 0, top 8th

There's a reason they go to Arizona for spring training ;)

To be honest, I'm shocked they have a tarp.

Only one major league player made it to the finals of the WBC.

Otsuka is still a major leaguer

And Japan deserves it. They should have beat the US thanks to a unfriendly call, and hit the tar out of the ball tonight.

But I came away from the tourney impressed like hell about the Koreans.

Seung-Yeop Lee will make a lot of money in the majors in a year or two if he so desires.

They may just nickel and dime the Cubans to the tune of a win. However, after watching Cuba the last few games, I wouldn't bet against them and their tomato unis.

What impresses me most about Cuba is their middle IF.
How many DPs have they turned over the course of this WBC?
It's how they did PR in and how they kept DR in check early.

I truly enjoy good defensive baseball... it's... pretty! :D

The WBC as a whole has really been a defensive purists dream. Korea had amazing fundamentals. The whole Japan/Korea series had some great defensive plays and throws.
