there will be a lot of passion between the two teams. i dont need major leaguers to watch baseball. Go watch a college game, it is good stuff, even with mediocre teams with no future pro's.

The 4 hitter Matsunaka then singled to load the bases.
The something happened to the Cuban Starter Odelin, because he was replaced with Romero after 7 pitches.

So with the bases loaded - the Cuban out of the pen, Romero, then beaned Tamura, allowing Nishioka to score, but K'd the next batter.

Bases Loaded, two outs, 1-0 Japan in the top of the First

Scratch that - Romero was the Cuban starter - he lasted 23 pitches before being pulled.

Odelin was the Cuban relief pitcher and is currently on the mound

He now has walked the Japanese 1st baseman on 8 pitches, walking in another run

Imae the 3rd baseman is now up, bases still loaded, 2-0 Japan with 2 outs

Dialing it up to 95 with some wicked movement. I'm making a mental note of the name, because if this is any indication of the stuff he brings on a regular basis, he'll be someone to watch out for when he becomes eligible to jump across the Pacific.

i believe he will be a free agent after the 2008 season. he tried to get his japanese team to "post" him, and allow MLB teams to bid on his services after last year but failed. and i agree, he is sick

The Cuban catcher made an excellent block on that play at the plate - yet the Japanese player still got in an amazing sneaky hand passed that shin guard to tag home plate.

Great, great game so far. Very entertaining
