Just thought it would be fun to see if anyone will be catching the Reds on the road...when and where...

Me and my son will be hitting Detroit May 20 and Cleveland June 23.

I might see you in Cleveland - going to all 3 games [got my tickets last weekend - was up in the Cleveland area attending a wedding]. If I had the money I'd also go to Detroit as well. One of these days I'll attend games at Wrigley.

I believe me and a friend are heading to Chicago for at least 1 Reds/Cubs game.

I'm going to try to make it up to Milwaukee this year. My father and I were up there for the Opening Series in 2001. I enjoyed the park and if you stay at the right hotel, you can walk to the stadium.

We might go to the Sunday game as well, depends on how it goes. My tickest arrived today for the Saturday game.

If enough of us are around, we could have an unofficial road game gathering.

I usually make a trip to see the tigers play once a year (mostly just to see a different team) so I will probably go up for that series.

this is a tad off subject, since it doesn't pertain to this year, but when the reds make a return to yankee stadium, i hope to be there. i went to a yankee-blue jays game in august of last year because i have family that lives on long island and was visiting them for a while, and the next time cincy is scheduled to play in yankee stadium for interleague, i'll likely be there, which would be unbelievable. granted, that could be years down the road... maybe we'll be a contending team by then? :D

I'll be at at least one of the Tigers games. Detroit's only 45 minutes or so up the road from me, so I may as well go.

I'm at the 3 Reds games in Phoenix every year, and usually at the San Diego series as well. I know last year I got to meet up with Eric in IL when him and his wife came out for a game and we had a great time. But anyone planning on going to either of those games is welcome to shoot me a PM so we can meet up

I've never been to the new stadium, but I went to a Tigers/Mariners game in 1996 when they played at Tiger stadium and it is an amazing atmosphere. Ah.. I remember that game.. Junior in Center, A-Rod at SS, Randy Johnson on the mound, Edgar DH'n, Jay Buhner in LF, and Brian Hunter hit the game winner.

We might go to the series in Detroit. We went up there for the Reds series in Tiger Stadium. It was on of the things I wanted to do before I die, actually. I stood behind the plate before the game in the first row, and I could almost see some game several decades past. We thought about staying in Canada during the series as I heard it is cheaper there, but I haven't decided yet

Not only cheapter, but cleaner too. A lot of good places over there to eat, or drink if that's your thing.

I went to a few games at Tiger Stadium. There's nothing like going to an old park like that. You feel rather small when you consider all the history of the place. As to road games this year, I will most likely have to combine one with a trip to see someone else so I can justify it with my wife. I have a great aunt in Milwaukee, so there or Chicago is a possibility. St. Louis might work since we have friends in Kansas and maybe I could talk her into making a little pit stop there on the way out or back.

The Windsor hotels are quite expensive for that weekend...I have been looking myself.

EDIT: I did check and yes, in fact it is Victoria Day Weekend which will drive the price of Windsor Hotels up.

I envy you, I had a trip planned to Tiger Stadium in 1999 and I had to cancel it due to the fact that some company wanted to buy our company and I had to go to some meetings concerning it.

I never got to say goodbye and that just sucks.

First post ever, long time reader. I feel really special. . .

Anyways, I live outside of DC in Virginia, and I already have my tickets for the Nats series at RFK. I've got seats in the first row in right field, same as last year. A couple HR's came real close last year, which isn't easy to do there!

I wanna hit Shea Stadium up for a couple reasons. My fiance lives in NJ and isn't far from Shea, and I've always wanted to catch the Reds playing in the big apple. It's a monday through thursday series, so I don't see how I can work it with my job, only having weekends off.

I usually go up the street and see at least one Cubs/Reds game every time they are in town. I am going to miss the May trip though because my wife is due on the 17th and I would feel a little guilty leaving her at home. I will be there in April and our son will get to go to his first game come September.

My friends and I have a whirlwind NL baseball tour planned, including, if God finally smiles upon me, Great American Ballpark, which I still have not seen.

Other than that I will just be bumming it out at the two stadiums here whenever I have a few extra bucks. Will be at Yankee Stadium a couple of times too.

Its a nice dump. Last year, Shea got all painted up and looks pretty on the surface. Don't buy the field level seats - they all face CF and you get the "old-timer" neck cramp looking left or right. The Green Seats are the best value for the buck. Great dogs, expensive watered-down beer. Right off the Queens Subway Line - back and forth from Manhattan in 30 minutes.

That's about it, sorry. I can say make sure you spend the $10 and get in an actual parking lot. A friend of mine got cheap last year and decided to park on a side street, his reward was a cinder block through his driver's side window.

I'll be there, too...My honeymoon in San Fran & San Diego just so happens to coincide with the Reds' west coast swing at the end of August...

I didn't even realize they would be out there then, my fiance did and got us tickets. How cool is that?

Very cool, sounds like she appreciates your baseball passion.

If you are driving down the coast make sure you go down Highway 1 through Big Sur.... stop for lunch at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, you won't regret it.
