Jermaine Dye CWS 1.000
Ramon Hernandez 1.000
Xavier Nady NYM 1.000
Albert Pujols StL 1.000
Hideki Matsui NYY 1.000

After one game these players are still perfect for the year.

Which one of the 5 do you think will be the last to make an out?

I'll even make this easier on you since Jermaine Dye just made an out in this afternoons game. So which one of the 4 do you think will be the last to make an out?

and yes, I know Pujols had a sac fly, but that doesn't count as an AB, so technically he has already made an out, but he's still batting 1.000 and that's what we're counting here.

I'm going with an upset and picking Ramon Hernandez..

He'll be traded ;)

Albert Pujols is just a freak of nature.

I hope its Pujols. He was my number one pick in my fantasy league.

Hernandez gets my vote as he's on my fantasy team.

I think they'll all make an out in their first AB of game 2.

Cross Matsui off the list. He K'd in his first AB last night against Rich Harden (and looked pretty bad on that last swing).

It's down to Hernandez, Nady, and Pujols.

Jermaine Dye.

Pujols struck out in his first AB tonight, so he's out.

Hernandez and Nady have yet to bat tonight.

Nady is on MY fantasy team...and he Homered in his first at bat! :beerme:

You can DO it Xavier...all...night...LONG!! :)

Hernandez doubled, so there are still two...

Nady just lined out to 3B.

And the winner is Roberto Hernandez!!

04-05-2006, 08:27 PM
Damn :(

04-05-2006, 08:45 PM
Hernandez walked in his second at bat, so he won it outright, not just because his 6th at bat came last. ;)

YES! Ramon Hernandez is your 2006 winner! What an upset!

Congrats, Ramon!

and the streak is still going. He's 5-5 with 3 BB's.

Maybe we should have a poll as to how many ABs he'll go?

04-06-2006, 01:55 PM
Maybe we should play "Who will get a hit last?"

Maybe we should play "Who will get a hit last?"

That may be fun, but we'd have to limit it to everyday players so people weren't guessing Delmon Young and the like...

Plus, I think a poll has limited options.

How bout Red regulars?

Every Red "regular" has a hit, unless you want to count starting / relief pitchers, and if that's the case, I'm taking Harang.

WMP is batting 1.000

just sayin' :)
