I(or anyone who chooses to) will give updates of the minor league games in this thread tonight. I'm trying to keep one night's worth of games in one thread.

Germano and Louisville are down 1-0 in the 3rd inning. Germano has 3 K's in 3 innings.

http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=milb&t=g_box&gid=2006_04_06_louaaa_ottaaa_1

Wood, Bailey, and Dumatrait are about to get under way. Jay Bruce and B.J. Szymanski are hitting 3-4 in the Dayton lineup.

Going to be listening to Sarasota a little bit since I can't see or listen to the Reds game. Homer k's the first batter of the season.

Travis Wood threw a 1-2-3 1st inning with two strikeouts.

Homer Bailey has thrown 2 perfect innings with 2 K's. Adam Rosales homered in his first atbat.

Wood is a really thin guy. I wouldn't put to much stress on his arm this year to he matures out in the coming years.

watched Wood pitch the 3rd, very impressive. Showed a good curve, didn't use the change, threw 90% fastballs. Is in a very good fielding position when he finished his delivery. I thought his mechanics looked pretty smooth.

Error on a ground ball that would have been a double play. Next batter - HR.

Wood gives up an RBI double, runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

I just actually took notice that the Reds lone position playing prospect in Louisville, William Bergolla is not playing tonight in favor of Frank Menechino. Is Narron managing down there too?

Homer Bailey done for the night.
4.2ip, 5 hits, 5 runs, 2 earned runs, 5 strikeouts, 0 walk.

The most impressive thing about that line...0 walks

From the looks of the boxscore of that game Schramek is picking up where he left off last year, 0-3, E, GIDP. Not only that he's hitting 4th???

Good curve huh? That supposed to be Wood's suck pitch. I'm giddy right now if he has developed his curve this offseason.

Rosales! He's gonna be a draft steal! ;)

I sure do like seeing all those "K"s tonight for the kiddies and a notable lack of "BB"s to boot. All said, not a bad first outing for them.

Great outing by Dumatrait. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in Cincy at some point this season. He has pretty good stuff, so if he can find command then he could be a solid major league starter.

Well they all lost tough lost for bailey but got to say out of all the starters they did pretty darn well and the fellow relivers that followed did qutie well also until we got around to the 9th inning guys once again! Wagner one run given up maybe Narron did know what he was doing
