Kinda sad. He was darn good.

Helped me win a fantasy league couple seasons ago. Had him, Smoltz and two other closers that had 20+ saves.

What?! That he should go on them to recoup faster or are you trying to out him as someone that did them?
Back up your "one word."

Feel free to expand on that at any time.

Natigal posted something that said that Gagne is expected to return in 2 months possibly. Glad that news didn't get posted any earlier as I just traded Dennys Baez and Coco Crisp for Travis Hafner.

Better deal for me. Hafner for an OF I didn't want, and a closer that I just picked up off of the waiver wire, and dealt the next day, who might only be the closer for 2 months. Nice.

NatiGal, you put it in the other thread that someone started after this one.
I personally don't see it happening. 4 mos. - 3 tops. No, I am not a Dr., but I am very close to the situation of "the art of spin doctoring" (no pun intended!) and I think the Dodgers are afraid of 2 things, fans not buying tix and sponsors not sponsoring. He, Nomar and Kent are their marquee players. Gagne is on more billboards out in LA than the 3 combined with Furcal. I think Gagne was in pain last year as well as this year. Does it make him a dirty liar? No, not really, but it does make him a person/player not to be trusted to tell you if he is 'really' 100%. Ala the Keith Foulke situation of last year. I can't blame the guy, this is a huge contract year and he lost his arbi hearing last year. It goes both ways, the team only come back in mid-relief this year and not with the game on the line.
