View Full Version : FSN, where's my radar?

If having to listen to Jim Day speak for ten mintues wasn't enough, FSN seems to have become even more inept at broadcasting baseball. In both games broadcast on FSN, the pitch speed was decidedly deemed irrelevant.
When Rick White and Mike Burns are on the mound, you have to marvel at the sheer awesomeness of 87 mph.

I noticed at Opening Day that the stadium radar wasn't working, or at least it wasn't being put up on the little scoreboard above the lower left field seating area. My guess is that FSN's MPH readings come from the stadium's radar, and since they weren't working the other day I would assume that they still aren't since it wasn't used in the broadcast.

ESPN coverage had radar on Arroyo's game, and also showed a few shots of GAB's radar display working fine.
I figured FSN was becoming too cheap to include it in broadcasts.
