I think gates open 2 hrs before the game. Home team takes BP first.

Correct.

Cheer for the Reds.

1) I believe the gates now open two hours before the game. Last year it was 1:30 before the game but if IIRC, Castellini changed it to two hours before the game this year.

2) The Reds always take BP first

3) Correct. 3B line is the away dugout.

4) Grab some coneys. Best food you will ever eat. And visit the Reds Hall of Fame. It's awesome to go in check out all the history and such.

If you buy a hot dog, get it from the vendor walking the aisles, they are better IMO, and cheaper.

Oh, and convert while you are there, to being a Reds fan.

I bought a 30 pack from the Castle last night. The wife will only eat a couple of them, so I'll get to eat these things for a few days all by myself. Yum

Same here. White Castle is always a mandatory stop on my way back to Indiana every summer. I always hit the one on the west side of St Louis off I-70.

I wait until I am actually in Cincinnati. I hit the one on top of Winton Road, about a mile or two from my grandmother's house.

time to plan this years summer vacation. :)

Didn't mean to cause a hijack, but....;)

I remember being in "A" school in the USMC in '94, Memphis, and making a trip to St. Louis for White Castle over Memorial Day wknd....

And, yes, they're terrible for you, but a lil piece of heaven *sigh*. Too bad I'm stuck in Texas right now....

no kidding. Like i said, Wal-Mart has the frozen kind. Not that it is even close to the same.

My wife makes a decent Cincinnati style chili. been eating it all week.

which makes me a lethal weepon.

and white castles are different?

No, but at least they're original. The only thing worse than being crap is copying crap. Just ask the cast of Law and Order: Criminal Intent.

Plus, White Castle has the secret weapon: Chicken Rings. All the deliciousness of chicken nuggets with the fun shape of onion rings. That's win-win product creation strategy right there!

TeamBoone

Van Morrison... "It's a marvelous night for a moondance". One of my all-time favorite songs, though I'm a bit surprised to hear it chosen as an "at bat" tune.

I wonder if the guys still sing in the clubhouse after each win. Last year it was "Whisky for my men, beer for my horses".

Cedric
04-18-2006, 12:23 PM
Freel uses moondance. The first few games Dunn was using some song about a washed up cowboy. I had not heard it before.

Caveat Emperor

If Freel is using "Moondance" as his entrance music, my estimation of him just tripled.

That song is fantastic! Freel might be slowly turning from "scrappy" to "classy."

Back to the important stuff.

I like Krystal better too. When I was last TDY to South Carolina, I ate there every night. Burgers one night, then chili cheese pups, then burgers... Five nights of Heaven!!
