I just find this title funny for him. How can he be a long relief guy when he gives up two runs each innining? When was the last time he eat up serious innings without giving up a ton of runs?

Seriously, Matt is a joke. I can't believe that people think he is good, and that people here defend him.

Belisle is the least of our relief pitching problems.

He needs to be sent to Louisville.

He needs to be sent to Louisville.

Not before Rick White, Chris Hammond, or Dave Williams

As a member of the Reds org, majors and minors, Belisle has allowed 343 hits in 289.2 innings. As a major leaguer, he has allowed 120 hits and 33 walks in 101 innings. He has been too easy to hit.

The rest of the oldies first, at least Matt has the chance to get better.

Just because a player is younger, doesn't mean he is improving.

Hammond has pitched better his last times out. He has been a successful reliever during his career. As a stop gap, no reason to dump him yet.

Now that Burns is gone, Reds should replace Belisle and White via trades for decent right handed relievers. Pen of Shack, Hammond and Mercker (left), Coffey, Weathers and two new guys (right) would be better.
