They CONTINUE to refer to Arroyo's haircut as a mullet--it is as if they always have to have something sarcastic and kitschy to say. ESPN anchors are like drag queens: sassy and passe, and everyone is over them. Also, what is the appeal of John Kruk? Good looks? Insight? A colorful look at the game? What a ZERO.

Did Kruk do or say something, or do you just not like him?

His appeal, at least when he was a player, was that of a witty, beer drinking, regular guy who seemed to have no business on baseball field, yet still had success on it.

I always liked Kruky, because he was a regular guy who just enjoyed playing the game.

Now granted, none of that means he makes a good analyst. But I would say that's his appeal, or at least it's supposed to be.

Kruk, like Dibble, is a perfect fit on Best Damn Sports Show. But geez, give me Al Leiter if you want to talk about baseball with any substance. Any of us could go up there and say something more intelligent, more insightful than Kruk. He gives no insight, shares no "expert" knowledge.

Well, I can't say that I have paid much attention to Kruk on ESPN.

My advice to anybody when it comes to ESPN is if you're looking for expert insight, look someplace other than ESPN.

I always enjoy Baseball Tonight's secondary guys like Steve Phillips and Jeff Brantley way more than the regulars (Kruk, Reynolds, and Gammons.) Gammons is such a blowhard.

I don't like Kruk on ESPN either. His demeaning and smart :mooner: remarks leave me cold. I've never heard him utter anything of substance.

Personally, I like FSN's baseball show, though I never know when it's going to be aired... and I think it's weekly rather than daily.

His "This Week in Baseball" started yet? If so, anyone know which network and time (I can't remember)?

I hate that ESPN (Entertainment & Sports Programming Network) cornered sports but tries to pass other "entertainment" off too.

The world would be a better place if it was just SPN instead.

It began with Chris Berman’s clever puns, continued on into a Kilborn/Patrick/Mayne fueled golden age, and has now entered into our everyday conversations. Or at least the everyday conversations of people who are too stupid to remember movie quotes.

The SportsCenter catch phrase, like the guest that is a hell of a lot of fun at the party, but spends the next three weeks on your couch making you rue the day you invited him in the first place, has run its course. We’ve had enough, SportsCenter Catch Phrase. As you yourself would put it, “Aloha means goodbye!”

And so CRACKED has put together a tournament of the 64 most clichéd SportsCenter catchphrases in the sports fan lexicon for you to vote on. Each phrase should be judged on how annoying, idiotic and meaningless they have become. Sure you like some of the 64 teams who made the field. Hell, we even like some of the 64 phrases below. But this is a democracy, and something must be done!

TWIB usually airs at noon on FOX and I don't think it has started yet, it usually starts in the middle of may I believe
