Actually, I think it was for using profanity and political topics. That's off limits here. That's cool. You're new. We won't kill you yet.:D I'm slowly trying to work my way up to the big show.
BTW, I hate country music, but I kind of like the Dixie Chicks. I'm a rebel.

Yep. Politics and religion are no-no's in the non-bb forum.

Political topics, yes. But no profanity. I used an asterisk for the "i" of the synonym for the female dog.
No masking allowed either for profanity. They got me on that when I was a noob too, fortunately, it was before the split boards and the rep system. I learned. You will too. Welcome to the board, btw.

Masked profanity is treated the same way as the real stuff. You'll catch mod wrath for either.

I highly encourage you to read the rules posted at the bottom of every page on RZ for your reference so you don't unknowingly break them again.

At least he works the count in this at bat, a bit, as Marty and Steve engage in terribly unintersting banter about high jersey numbers -- although I did always like that Barry Zito wears the double 7's.

Felipe Lopez works the walk. Contact would've been better, as the bases are now loaded.

At least he works the count in this at bat, a bit, as Marty and Steve engage in terribly unintersting banter about high jersey numbers -- although I did always like that Barry Zito wears the double 7's.

Felipe Lopez works the walk. Contact would've been better, as the bases are now loaded.

Clint Hurdle strides out to make the double switch and get Fogg out of the game.

Actually, Zito wears #75.

Were they talking about Ray-Ray wearing #62? If so, did they give a reason?

Rob Neyer chat today on ESPN.com...let's get him a user name on the board.

Reggie Osborne (Richmond, IN): Does the Reds hot start attest to the significance of having a quality GM? I think it's fair to say that a large portion of the credit for the Reds start this year should go to Krivsky (our new GM) after trading Pena for Arroyo and acquiring Brandon Phillips for next to nothing. It's awefully early to make final decisions on either of them, but this looks better then a lot of the boneheaded moves Jim Bowden put us through over the years.

Rob Neyer: Agreed. Krivsky's had an excellent first month. And if he figures a way to get Denorfia into the lineup, I'll become one of Krivsky's biggest fans.

93 pitches on the night.... AH can take 120, and he has been crusing as of late. If he gets in trouble, Jerry will yank him, but after the first 3 innings, there has been no real threat.

Thanks.

I agree completely. There is nothing inherently wrong with working deep into games, especially when pitch counts remain reasonable, and the pitcher works in a relatively stress-free environment.

Hey Guys. Just wanted to stop in for a second.. Been busy with stuff while i watched the game tonight and ive missed being here but I got company coming soon so Great game so far 2nite we are Winning.

Anyways Im noticing something and i wanted to bring it to your attention.

Has anyone else noticed that our Hitters are MORE productive with certain pitchers on the mound for us. We are more pataint, more productive and we are putting up some big numbers and if you look it all corisponds with who our SP is.

Just look :) I been lookin at it off and on and didnt pin point it to just a few moments ago.

This should be a Thread!! anyways lol i'll start it later maybe.

Look Harang on the mound tonight and we've pounded in 7 runs.. Claussen on the mound last night we didnt do a thing.. Now.. tell me if im WAY off here but i really dont think i am.

We have scored ALOT when Harang and Arroyo are pitching.. Also MORE HITS etc. done well with Rameriz and Milton on the mound too. Just take a second and look :)

When Claussen and Williams pitches it seems like we are quicker on swinging away and not being pataint.. IM NOT SAYING everytime. I mean sometimes its good to jump on 1st and 2nd pitches but just have a look see at what im saying and i'll look more into it to.

Im thinking for psycological reasons we are more LOOSE and Pataint with certain pitchers.. while when our worst go out there we are anxious and quick to pull the trigger.

Ponder it let me know what u think and i'll read back later. Got a Freind will be here anytime now..

Later Guys!!

GO REDS!!!!!!!!

Harang going back out for the 8th? I'm starting to worry that Jerry Narron spoke to Dusty Baker in the offseason.

He's still throwing free and easy. He hasn't crossed the 100 pitch mark yet, with a 6 run lead, I don't see why he should be pulled unless he wants out. If he can close the eighth in less than 10 pitches, I'd let him go for the CG.

Bottom 8, Harang back out to continue being the worst thing to happen to the city of Denver since John Elway retired.

Jamie Carroll leads the inning off. He stands watching as Aaron Harang strikes his 11th batter of the night out, setting a new record.

That Harang kid is pretty damn good -- tough on the eyes, but pretty damn good.

Maybe, but he already is high on the list in pitcher abuse points, IIRC. Not to mention pitching in Coors and it being early in the year.

The stuff is interesting. I didn't have that interest, but... I know a lot of our undergrads go into that area instead of systems, communication, and control.

And we're ranked second nationally in nanotech......it's tempting to stick around for a few more years on grant money.

Matt Holliday feeling less than festive as he steps up to try and break the Straharanglehold that Aaron has had on the Rockies for the last few innings. Holliday grounds out to Lopez at short for the 2nd out.

People still haven't figured out what I've been saying since I was 13, innings don't matter, the number of pitches matter.

No kidding... but I love him anyway, as long as I don't have to sit behind him at the Bengals games.... 6'7" beast. CE, you tall folks need a special section. I'm no slouch at 6'3", but come on, 6'10"? At least you can intimidate the jurrors.

Yeah, but in their defense, the Col. announcers are giving Harang his due.

Garret Atkins stops eating his bunless hotdog to conintue the inning. He lines a base hit for Colorado's 7th hit of the inning. Harang: Unfazed.

I don't know that Aaron has topped 120 yet... If he did, it was for one game. He's been crusing. 108 after 8... i don't know if he'll be back, but if he is, I have no problem with it. If it was a save situation, Jerry might be tempted to help his fantasy team and put Stormy in, but as is, let Aaron come back out.
