1st and possibly only game I get to see this year.
So of course I get to witness arguably the Reds' ugliest 1/2 inning of the season.

Anyways, here's some pics for those interested:

I'll be in section 117 about 13 rows up tonight and tomorrow - if any other Reds fans out there are in town and attending fire me a PM and we'll meet up

Watching the DeLaHoya-Mayorga fight tonight.
But I might be there tomorrow, same section, about 10-or-so rows up from ya'!

So for those of you who have been to this weekend's games, or any games at Chase, how does the park compare to the other newer ones? The reason I ask is I will be living out in Phoenix this summer and to get my baseball fix (and not get too bored) I think I will go to quite a few games. Thanks for any info or observations you might have on the park.

Well, I guess it depends on what other new ones your refering too.

I've been to Chase many times, and the feeling is like - well the best I can put it, when the roof is open it feels like you are in a car with a moonroof, as opposed to actually being in a convertable. Yeah sometimes It's nice, but you rarely use it and it doesn't ever really give you the true effect of being outside.

If your going to a series, I would advise against Chicago and LA. The stadium gets swamped with all kinds of obnoxious idiots, *ahem*, Dodgers and Cubs fans that are transplants.

There are some spots in the upper deck, price wise, that are still pretty reasonable. I would stay away from the outfield bleechers, beyond the bullpens. Those seats are all bleacher seats with no backs, fine if it's a high school football game, not so much for a $25 a seat baseball game. And on the field level, there is a place called "BIG DAWGS" located right next to the team shop that has monster foot long hot dogs with themes from all over the MLB. It's only in one spot though. My wife and I try to go there anytime we get a dog at the game.

I noticed last nice that there seemed to be a fair number of Reds fans in the seats.

If he's wanted so badly in Arizona, maybe they'd be willing to send Brandon Webb for him.
