I know he has been coming back from injury but didn't he use to be a ground ball pitcher? He is holding his own at AAA. Has anyone seen him pitch? Is his velocity back up and is he getting ground ball outs?

Before today's start Williams VORP was -6.1, so Hall couldn't be much worse. Heck, that's the defination of VORP. Basically we could bring up a journeyman guy from AAA and he'd hypothetically out-perform Williams.

Did some research on Hall and it looks like his fast ball was in the low 90's and once in a while he would hit 94. He had a great curve, his strike out pitch and a change up that was coming along. Now if he has an upper 80's low 90's fast ball that sinks and still has that great curve with Soto down at AAA his Change up might be improving. Wouldn't mind seeing if he can make it in Williams spot.

What worries me with looking at Halls stats in AAA, he gives up hits, he walks guys and doesnt strike guys out. Usually in the major league those things lead to VERY bad things.

I'd rather bring Dumatrait up to take Belisle's mop up guy role and put Belisle in the rotation then bring Hall up.
