Wow, great video. Thanks.:beerme:

The Reds are so darned fortunate to have this guy around...and with a fresh contract. Watching him since '01 has kind of spoiled us and we might be taking him a little bit for granted these days, methinks.

Also, judging by some of the earlier clips in the set, I think he has put on a couple of pounds.

I have FINALLY figured out what Adam Dunn reminds me of. You know the little plastic bears full of honey, with their arms folded over their chests and the yellow caps? Adam Dunn is just a lifesize version of a plastic honey bear who happens to hit home runs.

I'm dead serious. Does anybody see this?

That catcher has gotta be hurting.

You know, if Dunner stops with those foolish plays in left and catch the ball... He'd be a darn good LF these days... He makes the tough plays most of the time... But those easy ones just make him look bad.

I forgot about the play at the plate... what was that catcher thinking.

The record shot over the batters eye, I never noticed the pitchers reaction... it looks like he assumes the fetal postion. LMAO!

If you thought that home run off John Smoltz last year was a bomb, you should see the one he hit off Jose Lima and the Dodgers on August 10, 2004. I was there. A 3-2 fastball belt-high right down the middle. Dunn crushes it completely out of the ballpark and into the river on a bounce for an estimated 535 feet. It was at least 535, maybe a little longer. It's the longest HR on major league record.

I thought Mickey Mantle had the longest on record at 565 Ft.

That was before MLB started officially measuring home runs...I believe they started in the 1970's.

Here's a link to videos of the longest homeruns hit in GAB. Regarding the one you're talking about, you don't even see the ball after Dunn makes contact with it.

Thanks for the link.

I remember that the ball was still rising as it was going over the batter's eye in center field. I'm amazed that someone can hit a ball that far.

My favorite Dunn shot was the last year at Cinergy when he hit a dead straight line drive about six inches from the top of the big wall against the Mets. Given its trajectory and speed, I suspect if it had been a foot higher it would have been the longest home run in the history of the game. As it was, it was a hustling double.
