A few of us zoners are getting together for the game this Friday. We're gonna get our tickets at the stadium.

If anyone else is going and would like to meet up before the game, we are meet at O'Malleys In The Alley around 5 PM or so.

I see where Dave Williams is now scheduled to start Friday. :mooner:

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday, and I'm now elated knowing I don't have to watch Williams pitch.

Well... at least we won't see a boring game with little hitting.

Lets see? With Williams pitching, I guess we'll get Moondeck seats!

I'll be there, but I'll be with a different group so I won't be able to meet up before the game. I'd be up for paying you all a visit during the game though.

Isn't Ramirez scheduled to go Friday with Williams going Saturday? I am likely going to the games on Saturday and Sunday as well and was really hoping to see Williams. ;)

Although, I may have to look at going on Friday as well, since there is a good chance the Phillies will be calling up Cole Hamels and having him make his debut that night.

According to Marc's blog it looks like the top Phillies prospect Cole Hamels is going to start for the Phillies on Friday.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that there are "strong indications" top Phillies prospect Cole Hamels will start against the Reds on Friday.

The 22-year-old lefty has some outrageous numbers at Scranton this year -- one walk and 36 strikeouts in 23 innings -- so I'm hoping it does happen. I'd like to take a look at this guy.

Incidentally, he beat Homer Bailey and Sarasota earlier this year when he was down in the FSL.

GAC, I am coming up this weekend with my 4-year-old. I have tickets for Saturday, but have been toying around with the idea of coming on Friday too, if I can get up there in time, and if it won't be a drag having a child near the group, I may be interested in meeting up with you all...

The Lizard will be pitching Friday per Marc...

Couple things

The Reds have flip-flopped their starters for the first two games of the Phillies series. Elizardo Ramirez will go Friday against Cole Hamels (now official, apparently) and Dave Williams will go Saturday against Jon Lieber (7.85 ERA vs. 6.60). That's an extra day of rest for Williams.

Also, Eric Milton is pitching a simulated game as we speak. Looks like Denorfia, Olmedo and McCracken are swinging the bats against him.

Also on the field, our pal Ramon Ortiz, saying hi to some folks.

Oh, and here's a list of minor leaguers scheduled to be with the Reds for Monday's exhibition in Cooperstown: LHP Chris Michalak, RHP Carlos Guevara, RHP Abe Woody, C Chris Denove, IF Jeff Bannon, IF Luis Bolivar, IF Eric Eymann, OF Alex Sanchez and OF Chris Dickerson.
