Alright pal, I'm not liking the attitude. Go back and read my posts. I was not telling Griff how to play CF wise guy. I was saying Deno and Freel have better range. You then informed me with your amazing intelligence that CF is more than just speed. That's when I used my experience to show that I know CF is more than just speed. I was in no way using my experience to compare myself to Griffey or criticize him. I obviously do not know as much as Griffey about playing CF, and never claimed to by any means. I simply was saying yes, I know that there's more to CF than speed because I once played the position.

Come on..... he played CF so he does have a feel for the position. Griffey is a nice guy and was one of the best but everyone is kidding themselves if they want to say that he's still top notch in CF. I'm willing to bet the coaches are also telling him not to push it too hard. Freel is a dare devel in the field and will do what ever he can to get to a ball, he won't in ten years. Getting old is part of the game, and once being a top player makes it all the tougher for management and the player. I don't know where you put everyone but Freel would be better in CF and Griffey would be better placed in left.

Ahh..all star game info

2008 All-Star Game and Beyond
Among the cities in the running for 2008's All-Star Game are Anaheim (whose stadium was so completely transformed in the late 1990s and early 2000s that some people almost consider it a whole new entity), Tampa Bay, Minnesota, and Toronto. Commissioner Selig said during the 2005 All-Star Break that the 2008 game will definitely go to an American League city. His statement would put the cities of Phoenix, Washington, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and San Diego in position for a run at the 2009 All-Star Game.

Recently (March 2006), It has been rumored that the New York Yankees would get the game, as a way to send the historic stadium off before the new Yankee Stadium opens next door in 2009.

Commissioner Bud Selig recently announced that Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City will likely host an All-Star game sometime between 2010 and 2014. He also said that the earliest an All-Star Game likely could be held at Chase Field would be 2011, when the ballpark will be 13 years old. This is because St. Louis with its new Busch Stadium and adjacent Ballpark Village is the favorite to host in 2009. [2]

We've got Hatteberg to come in and pinch-hit, and he doesn't do slumps...he walks if he can't hit....And w/ Phillips leading off, maybe he'll figure out a way to get on (don't get picked off)....

Then Freel is on 3 of 4 tonight, so that looks good, and then there's Lopez, who's hitting better than any other RED in May. w/ Junior up after that, I don't see any reason why we can't score 2 or 3 runs in the 8th.
