This is kind of hard to believe by the way things have been going. This is good news though. Other than the Cards, and maybe the Mets, there aren't many good teams. The Reds should be able to hang around for awhile.

This is a good start, despite the last two weeks. We are not going to catch the Cards...period. They will win 100 games. I have said in previous posts, that all we need to be is 9 games over .500 at the all star break. If we can finish the second have the same way, we will finish 90-72 and almost assured of the wild-card.

Our starting pitching has been pretty good, it has kept us in most games, that is a positive. We need to make a move for one more starter, put Milton in the bull pin for long relief, and make Coffey the closer. We are ahead of schedule in being 6 games over .500. This nxt home stand is important. We need to go 4-2 or 3-3. We can't lose anymore games to .500.

I think everyone over values the Cardinals based on previous years. They are not nearly as good this year. So far, they've blown very few teams away, and even KC has given them a run for the money in this most recent series.

They've flat out struggled at times, losing four in a row just a week or so ago.
