That was funny...I didn't notice it last night, but just saw the FSN segment.

This was confirmed by MLB? Anyone got a link to this or something? lol

Kinda funny really, Ump blowing something like that... and no arguements from the Brewers etc.

Adam Dunn is like Chuck Norris.

They fear him so much they walk him on 3 balls.

I mentioned it in the game thread last night.

Maybe the ump realized that the first pitch he called a strike was actually well below the knees and decided to give him the walk. :D

The thing that's even weirder is that Gameday shows four balls... guess they just make stuff fit the outcome.

Yep.

If all waks were 3 balls Dunn's OPS would be 5000 zillion ;)

I watched the AB on TV and remember thinking "did I miss a pitch somewhere?". But I thought it was just me zoning out.

I was doing game thread PBP, and I could've sworn there were only 3 balls in that AB as well -- I had to pull up MLB.com's gamecast to doublecheck that I hadn't missed something.

It's telling that nobody was paying close enough attention (neither the TV crew nor the radio crew) to pick that up.

So, what, is this the second time in two games this has happened to Dunn? Didn't someone say this happened in Monday's game as well?

OK, now I've had my coffee, and I'm better now.

I know we may never hear about it but I would think the HP umpire should be fined by MLB for not having the correct count. That's really not excusabale. What's worse, in a way, is that the Brewers didn't catch it and raise a stink.

I have to say, the title of this thread sounds like some new country dance step.

Yep. It's one thing if its one person--even an ump--who gets the count wrong. But that an entire team of players and coaches missed it seems darn near impossible to me. It's hard to believe that somethign like this could happen.

And what about the Brewers pitcher? Did he not say anything at all? Surely he must have known what the count was.

I guess there were multiple items that suffered shrinkage thoughout the ordeal.
