Encarnacion has been hot, Freel hit 2 HR's yesterday, Aurilia hasn't done anything lately. But who is playing 3rd and hitting 2nd? Aurilia. The worst hitter in the lineup, and probably the slowest runner there in the 2 hole (instead of usual cleanup spot :bang: ). The Reds have definately been surprising this year, but they could be better if they had a manager. Agree or not?

I can understand what you are saying with regard to Freel and Encarnacion being hot, but Aurilia is not a bad player. He has had his share of good at bats this year. You have to keep your extra players sharp. However, I would have had him lower in the order with Phillips in the 1 or 2 hole.

I was about to respond to this post but Griffey just hit a 3 run bomb in the 9th.

Maybe later.

WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO!

Aurilia isn't terrible. Maybe EdE just needed a day off. Freel can only hit homers in Houston and Chicago. :D If we hold on to win this game I don't care who was in the lineup.

I think Aurilia and Dunn both have hit Suppan very well. That's the only justification.

The 8 runs and the win sort of justify it as well. The team is 2 out with batting tees as 4th and 5th starters and a shaky pen. Narron must be doing something right when filling out the line-up card.

RA had the key at bat before the Griffey homer.

I ain't complaining.

Rich had one of the key at bats in the game. It wasn't a decision I agree with, but it worked.
