I really like this line-up, I may swap Kearns and Hatte though, but overall a good one... It looks like Ross is the starter now, which he has earned...However, we have 3.5 million sitting on the bench that needs to be traded for atleast a decent relief pitcher or maybe even a solid prospect....

Does anyone think think that Claussen has to have a good outing or risk being demoted to the bullpen?

Absolutely... not.

Claussen is in the rotation, he won't get replaced by Joe Mays.

Everytime Junior jumps to make a spectacular catch I feel like a grandmother guarding her china collection during a 0.056 earthquake.

This AFLAC commercial reminds me of Grande & Welsh. Mind boggling. I swear three straight inner-warning track flyballs are "he hits it deep, did he get enough? Nooo...".

Do you mean 5.6 earthquake? Or was that part of the joke? I don't think they can measure a 0.056 quake.

I can't believe that Yan was the only guy available for Krivsky to bring in. He's never been good, and the only reason teams keep taking chances on him is because he throws hard. Krivsky's made a lot of good acquisitions this year, but this certainly isn't one of them.

Yes, it was part of the joke. As in grannies being so overly protective of their china. :)

Krivsky's made a lot of good acquisitions this year, but this certainly isn't one of them. You know it was a puzzling choice when Chris Welsh questioned the wisdom of walk an inning Yan in with the bases juiced. I groaned as soon as I saw the choice. One out to a righty? Hammond, maybe?

From the 2006 Sporting News Baseball Register:

Esteban Yan scouting report:

"Yan is a journeyman middle reliever who falls apart when pitching with the game on the line."

They got that one right....
