Just checking the probables for tonights Minor League games and saw that Mike Burns is scheduled to start tonight for Louisville. Anyone have any idea of what is going on?

Could this be a temporary fill in start in Joe Mays' spot in the rotation? Shearn has done spot starting in the past, but maybe he isn't available.

Or (hoping against hope) could this be a "showcase" to another team for Burns to be an add on for a trade?

Yet another bullpen day in L'ville, it looks like. Shearn managed six innings his last time out, which is the most I've ever seen out of him. And Man About Town Josh Hall must still be on the bus.

Ironically enough, Indianapolis has Dollar Menu night at Victory Field. (excluding beer) That dollar might give Burns another cup of coffee.

After reading the Indianapolis website, Team player of the month Brandon Duckworth was traded to the Royals. How the "expected-can't miss" have fallen.

The Royals can't really get anyone who's succeeded in the majors, so they're settling for ex-prospect flops that have done well at AAA, given that they could probably exchange their roster for the Omaha roster and put up the same record.
