I went with 17. He will hit a rough patch at some point. Of course, if you told me in March he'd go 17-8 with a mid-low 3's ERA, I wouldn't have believed you...

Krono and Jpup both say 15 and considering that Arroyo already has 9 on June 20, that sounds pretty low. I'd be interested to hear their reasoning on picking 15.

I say 16 because I think the bullpen will muck a few wins up for him.

Wow! I had to read that sentence a 2nd time :)

17. Bullpen will indeed kill some extra wins for him, and an inevitable rough patch in August won't help.

I said 18-20 since this is his Danny Jackson year. Everything will go right.

18. Our ***ALL-STAR*** bullpen will keep him from getting those elusive 20 wins.

Please prove me wrong BULLPEN

Returning to career norms and oh yeah the pen sucks ;)

I think he will make 18 more starts and go 6-7 with five no-decisions. That would make him end up, what, 15-10?

Damn, beat me to it.

My exact reasoning. He'll either have to go deeper into games and pitch himself into late innings losses, or we'll see a string of NDs after turning it over to the pen.

16.

Well, it has now been 3-1/2 weeks since we visited this poll and Arroyo simply cannot reach the '10' plateau in wins.

Some of the failures can be considered his fault but a lot can be charged to the bullpen. I figured he had a really strong chance for a 20-win season but now I'm not so sure. I love what he has added to the rotation though, don't get me wrong but I think some of us may need to re-evaluate our original number.

And, now that the bullpen has been beefed up, do some of you guys who based your projected total on 'bad bully' want to amend your prediction? :)

Did he get the cornrows yet? He always needs the cornrows to get the 10th.

Okay, so he went 5-8 the rest of the way and went 14-11. I was pretty close. (pats self on back)

I just took a wild guess and came in with 14. I'd be willing to bet Harang gets 16.;)

I must say that macro was pretty good at making a prediction. He was awfully close to what actually happened.
