Good line-up tonight... Hopefully Ramirez can build on his last start against the Brewers...

Redhook
06-20-2006, 07:09 PM
I'd like to see Hatte moved up to the 2-hole with his high OBP moving everyone else down a spot in the order.

redhawkfish
06-20-2006, 08:16 PM
Freel had a base hit down the line but was thrown out by a mile at second!

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 08:45 PM
Where's the offense? I must have missed it.

redhawkfish
06-20-2006, 08:51 PM
Freel singles up the middle.

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 08:54 PM
Freel flies out to CF, Grande calls it a bloop. Just like announcers call curveballs "breaking balls".

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:04 PM
Ramirez has settled down, thank goodness.

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:06 PM
Dunn swings at the first pitch and pops it up. 1 out

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:08 PM
Both Hatteberg and the umpire flinch on the 1-2 pitch. Hatteberg pops up the 3-2 pitch for the third out.

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:08 PM
well... Looks like we're facing Cy Trachsel tonight...

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:12 PM

Javy Flies to Right... Phillips to 3rd... EZ-E steps in, we need a run here!

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:22 PM
EZ-E grounds one to 2nd... Phillips scores.. 3-1 Mets..

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:25 PM

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:34 PM
I can't decide if we should call Trachsel Cy Young or Babe Ruth. Ugh.

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:36 PM
Lopez with a weak grounder to 3rd.. 1 down, Jr up

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:38 PM
Griffey with a WEAK grounder to Reyes... 2 down

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:39 PM
Dunn steps in at a whopping .225 and hits a very very WEAK grounder for out #3!

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:41 PM
Reyes (for the Mets) gets tagged on the back of the neck by a throw from a teammate, after an out. Sounds like he needs to brush up on his around-the-diamond exercises.

With the shift that was just shown on Dunn. you think Pinella (Mr Baseball Narron doesnt tell them)would tell Dunn to hit it down 3rd on those outside pitches??? if they gave me that much hole on the 3rd base side.. i would hit it there so much that they would have to quit putting the shift on me... guess dunn ad Jr just dont want to hit it anywheer on the 3rd base line to help the team... hmmm

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 09:42 PM
Narron sounds like a robot, did he have throat cancer or something? Not directing this at Ruhle.

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:44 PM
Beltran flies to Dunn...1 down

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:45 PM
Delgado lines to Hatteberg.. 2 down

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:47 PM
EZ K's Wright... 1-2-3 for EZ-E! C'mon lets get some runs... Kearns, Hatteberg, Phillips

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:49 PM
Ramirez only @ 91 pitches.. He can easily go 7 at that pace... However, if we get to him this inning, in hope of a big inning I expect Narron to PH for him...

Can't they try to bunt it down the 3rd base line as well? Or at least show bunt.

jesusfan

Kearns singles into Right.. Hatteberg up

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 09:53 PM

jesusfan

jesusfan
06-20-2006, 10:04 PM
That is exactly why you have BP steal 2nd... 2nd and 3rd with 1 down... Instead of this crap happening... Great Job Narron!

jesusfan

06-20-2006, 10:14 PM
The Reds call to the bullpen should now be referred to as a "Cry for help".:bang:

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 10:15 PM
Weathers is in a word: AWFUL. Just moseying his way around out there.

Narron's going to pass out with all that whistling (anyone else see that?).

redsfan4445
06-20-2006, 10:17 PM
this bullpen will kill any hope for the playoffs if this keeps up!!

redsfan4445
06-20-2006, 10:18 PM
hmmm Mercker... lets see if he gets the 1st batter out!!.. so far he has given up 3 homers in the last 6 leadoff batters he has faced

redsfan4445
06-20-2006, 10:21 PM
Lizard has to be the unluckiest pitcher on our staff.. no run support and the bullpen makes it so we cant come back!!!

toledodan
06-20-2006, 10:21 PM
remember the article a few weeks ago where weathers said he was close to retirement to spend time with his kids? i hope this outing pushes him closer.

David Weathers is DONE...stick a fork in him. With this pen, the Reds are going nowhere(I hate to say it) and it is time for Wayne to get rid of the trash.

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 10:27 PM
Junior "poses" (TM) on a warning-track shot to center.

bleedsred
06-20-2006, 10:29 PM
Is it just me or is JR ready to get really hot...he had had some really nice swings tonight(nothing to show for it) with about 3 just misses for HR in his last 3 at bats...

redsfan4445
06-20-2006, 10:29 PM
Why didnt DUNN swing at that 2-1 pitch?? he didnt want to hit it out?? to many runners on base?? geeeeeeeesh

saboforthird

remember the article a few weeks ago where weathers said he was close to retirement to spend time with his kids? i hope this outing pushes him closer.

I just wish that players, when they KNOW they want to retire, would just walk away. No questions asked. Contract over and done with. Team moves on.

i think something is wrong with Coffey.. i think Narron has overused him and now he is showing a problem with his arm or he has a tired arm.. he isnt dominating like before early in the season...

saboforthird
06-20-2006, 10:35 PM
I'm glad that punk (sorry, feeling very frustrated right now) was thrown out at the plate.

In other news, Coffey needs a new filter.

redsfan4445
06-20-2006, 10:37 PM
I saw Coffey's fastball was hitting 91.. i swear he was 94-95 earlier in the season with alot of movement... hope Narron hasnt ruined him pitching him to much...

jimbo

They mentioned earlier that they thought the radar gun was off. I don't think Coffey has been overused.......you can't baby them. He seems to be best when he is being used often and he hasn't gotten the innings since he became the closer.

MaineRed
06-20-2006, 11:18 PM
Please tell me you guys didn't think Coffey was going to sip his way thru the 2006 season with a sub 1.50 ERA?

Blame it on Narron though. Obviously with this pitching staff the Reds should pound the Mets nightly.
