I gotta believe we'd be interested. Hes been pretty bad in Clev. but a 2-1 gb/fb ratio interests me.

These are his career stats, all of which are in the AL, besides 3 relief appearances in his firsy year (97) with the Pirates, not too bad, but not great, yet a change to the NL may be good to him, he's pitched in some tough AL divisions. Johnson is also locally known, he graduated from Conner High School, in Hebron KY. He is worth a chance given he is a good groundball pitcher and is stron local ties may help put more people in the stands.

I've always liked him, and I've been surprised by how much he's struggled the last few seasons. He's a good guy to take a chance on, as long as someone else is paying most of his salary.

Reds Motto of Pitching -

"One Man's Trash is another Man's Treasure"

Pass. I'm not sure he's any better than Joe Mays.

Well that decides that then.

The Red Sox are more in need of starters than we are. Nice to be able to say that for a change.

Particularly with the whole Arroyo back-story...

If Jason Johnson's thinks pitching poorly in Cleveland is bad, just wait until Red Sox Nation gets a hold of him...or any left-handed power hitter.

Did the Tribe & Sox trade out DFA's?

It was Johnson and cash for PTBNL or future cash considerations.

That's a good starting point. If they throw in Ted Williams' head, I'm sold on this deal.

To be accurate I believe his name is The Greek God of Walks.

Krivsky absolutely killed Theo in that deal. Killed him. And that's coming for a fan like me who hated the deal when it was made because I thought Pena was on the cusp of very goodness and Arroyo's plummeting K:9 rate scared me to death.

Shows what I know.

The Red Sox way overestimated their starting pitching depth, and Arroyo's success HAS to be a sore point with them at this juncture...
