Is he really a soft-tosser? I thought he brought the heat and that's why he was a top prospect. :confused:

No, he's about 88 mph. He's a top prospect because his ERA at AAA is 1.39 and he's 9-1. He's thrown two shutout complete games.

Kind of depends on your definition of soft-tosser. He's sort of in between, velocity-wise, generally 88-90 with the fastball, so I've heard. Won't be confused with either Randy Johnson or Jamie Moyer. But except for the smokin' fastball, he's got pretty much everything else a pitcher needs -- variety of pitches, command, good sense of what to throw when. Glavine's a good comp for what Cleveland hopes it's getting.
