He's fallen out of the starting spot in the all star game. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

He could use the time off IMO

Nope. And the only Red who does is Arroyo.

You don't think that BP does?

Or even Dave Ross for that matter?

hey, he represents the reds...and he's the only chance we have at getting a starter....so I don't understand why people wouldn't vote for him.

Honestly....no.

3 guys who weren't here until spring training do though...

Because he isn't the best center fielder in the N.L.?

David Ross?

100 plate apperances does not make an AS.

How many casual fans know what OBP is? A lot less than those who know who Ken Griffey Jr. is I'm sure.

I think maybe 7 or 8 from what I can surmise.

OTOH

How many know who David Ross and Brandon Phillips are?

Good point, and those two deserve to be there more than Griffey does. I think there should be a midseason all-star game chosen by the fans, and a post season all-star game chosen by MLB for what players had the best seasons.

I shall not today attempt further to define what OBP is, but I know it when I see it.

This is due to the two road trips...look for him to surge back up during the homestands before the all star break! He should get 15K votes a night at least.

The only way he deserves to go to the ASG is if he buys a ticket.

Voting at the ballpark ended with the last homestand.

From 1959 through 1962 there were two All Star games held each year. That would be an interesting concept to have one game which is fan voted, the other which is player/coach voted.
