I am looking to generate some extra cash before vacation and I have over 100 (109 + 11 seasons of different TV shows) DVDs.

I know a lot of places (Blockbuster, etc.) will buy your DVDs and give you store credit but does anyone know places that will pay you cash? From doing research, I know most used DVDs go anywhere from $1-$10 for cash.

Gamestop (who bought EB Games) will pay you cash for DVDs but I doubt they would buy 109 of them. The only other place that came to mind was Plato's Closet. I know they used to buy DVDs.

Anyone have any more suggestions?

BTW...I'm in the Indianapolis area.

Here's the entire collection if anyone might be interested:

Are you close to a Half Price Books? I'm fairly certain they'll give you cash.

Thanks. There is one located pretty close to me. I had forgot about that place.

That's why I'm glad Redszone exists for situations like this.

If you have the time and the know-how you would get top-dollar selling them on eBay

I had thought about Ebay, but i don't know how I would do it. I don't know if it would be costly to list each item and then ship it or if someone would want to buy the entire collection.

What about a CD Connection or Buybacks? Both of those pay cash in the Dayton area.

I can't believe Redszone censors Fockers.

EDIT: Hmmm...must have been a typo.

I think something else censored it and when I copied and pasted, it kept the ***.

Amazon is a really easy place to sell DVDs, CDs and Books...

Just look up your DVD (as if you were buying and then look for the link that says 'sell yours here"'). It has a set up process, but in general its a LOT easier than eBay. Prices are usually better, too. (for the seller).

I sell my tech junk on eBay. Books and Movies on Amazon.

I'll have to look into that- I've sols several hundred DVD sets on eBay. I've never thought about Amazon. I'm going to look into it.

GF, I remember when you where a major contributor here.
