This White Sox team reminds me of the late 80s Athletics.

How can a pitcher with stuff like Lidge continue to get pounded like that? Absolutely amazing.

I was watching it. Even before Iguchi walked to the plate, you could almost tell Lidge's number was up.

I thought the same thing. Ledge has not been the same since the World Series debacle.

But, the guy has one of the best sliders in baseball, a true out pitch. That should be the nail. 99+that slider should=domination. You almost have to be stupid not so succeed with that stuff...

I was actually referring to the psychological aspect of his game. He is clearly mind-bleeped.

Lidge's number came up last October and he hasn't found it since. He and Ryan Wagner ought to enter group therapy for shell-shocked pitchers.

Now, THAT may very well be the case. And, that is what I was kind of questioning too.

Holy cannoli, I was just reviewing the day's box scores because that's a fun way to spend a sunday night, and I knew that the Cubs had lost 8-1 and had had three errors in the process, but I had not realized that they actually outhit Minnesota 11-10. Talk about not finding ways to score.

Stros-Sox still tied at nine, two outs, bottom of the 12th.

Astros now lead 10-9, top of the 13th

I was in the other room when this happened and didnt get to see it.

Top 13TH B:0 S:1 O:0

RF tries to catch a blooper at the foul line but couldn't get it. The ball rolled into the fence and a White Sox fan picked it up thinking it was foul. When he found out it was a fair ball he dropped it and hid his face under his shirt. Ump ruled it a triple.

And then the fan was ejected from the game.

They won the battle but perhaps it was a Phyrric victory. That game not only had to mess up their bullpen but it had to mess with Lidge's head even more.

Oswalt is getting used to it. Everytime he gets taken out of a game, the Astros bullpen gets lit up. Tonight, they said that the bullpen had an ERA over 8 after Oswalt leaves a game.

Yep, Prince Albert's titanic blast appears to have left a permanent scar on his psyche.

He's no longer automatic.

So the White Sox hit a pivotal grand slam in all three games of their series with the Astros? Talk about keeping the home crowd hopping....

The Astros and Cardinal struggles just show the division as well as the wild card is the Reds for the taking. If they can find a bull pen and the hitting be more consistent, you never know.

I heard that Lidges slider is basically no longer be swung at so its not as effective.

Hes always seems to be getting behind in counts and trying to overpower people with his fastball instead of slider.
